Big Shows, Big Belly, Big Life Update 🍒 Is this how you "nest?"
Howdy, Cherry loves! It’s been a little while, and boy do I have a life update for you. June is gearing up to be the PINNACLE month of MOST LIFE CHANGES VERONICA HAS EXPERIENCED AT ONCE… followed by August, my due date! I guess you’re curious about quite a few things. I know this because of many curious questions. So here are answers and a bit of promo as I do have sad news
Unless you’ve been living under a rock you must know by now that my British clown partner, Andy Duncan, and I are in a beautiful long-distance relationship that turned into… a Venezuelan-British clown baby. Yes. A literal human baby. Not a clown bit, like SO MANY PEOPLE thought! I’ma be a real mom. Mother, if you will.
I’m 28 weeks pregnant as I write this! For the non-baby people that’s 7months![Fun fact: Gestating takes 40 weeks! So… NOT NINE but TEN MONTHS!] It’s super exciting but lotsa changes happening really quick because… I mean… if you clown you know we got officially together in the trenches of Edinburgh at the Fringe Festival last August, we were not even sure how we were gonna go about our long distance relationship when the bebe decided to arrive, let alone how to PARENT in the same country!! That is until very recently and now we have to accelerate the whole enterprise + I’m doing a goodbye Medicine Woman run and a second clown show where I marry someone in the audience!!! But life has a way and he’s moving here June 1st.
Because of this June is gearing up to be the PINNACLE month of MOST LIFE CHANGES VERONICA HAS EXPERIENCED AT ONCE… followed by August, my due date! Will baby be a Leo? A Virgo? DUN DUN DUN!
SO what’s on my plate in June, you ask? Oh not much!
Just a small intercontinental move from Andy to L.A. so, yeah, non-committal lover girl is moving in with a man… that’s right, I’m also in shock. But I can’t wait until he feels our child’s kicks daily.
A whole ass move into a whole ass new place (bye Cherry manor) where we trying to break a record on fastest nesting of all time, and TBH, fingers crossed baby comes at least at week 39 and not 37 because that’s how close we’re cutting it.
Not one but THREE BABY SHOWERS, one at the Elysian, one in Texas one Parent blessings ceremony in a park?? TBD
Making a MyRegistry.com (sounds simple?? Think again). Taking lactation class. Taking birthing classes. And we defo need to find a class to teach us what the hell to do with a newborn!! Worth noting everyone who’s as pregnant as me has already: decided on a name, made a registry, taken the lamaze or hypnobirthing and lactating classes and had their baby shower by now. I do NOT KNOW when we’re doing these thangs. It’s hard not to compare yourself when there’s a tight deadline. But hey! Our excuse? ...International …clown baby?
And, of course, I’m doing 4 shows!! Please join me so I can say goodbye to this solo witch era with you, my community. WHICH SHOWS YOU ASK???
I am doing the 2025 Hollywood Fringe Festival (starts in 12 days!) WHY DO A FESTIVAL WHILE 8 MONTHS PREGNANT???? Well… *CUE SAD MUSIC* To say goodbye to my Award Winning show MEDICINE WOMAN before I retire it from LA forever (will be taking it to Catania, Italy in October as part of an Award! Then around the U.S.A and then the U.K. can lemme cook… but L.A. no mo). I did it in Australia at 4.5 months and it felt delightful to do. IDK if 8 months will feel the same! I’m low key scared but fear drives me to greatness or at least to break water onstage??? TBD

And, of course, I need to take advantage of the big belly and do the second serving of my Spaghetti Festival show Cherry Baby: Certified Lover Girl at the world acclaimed Elysian Theater exactly a month (-2) from today 6/26, a comedy show where I set myself to find spouse (man /woman /they) in the audience and, hopefully, marry someone that night, NOT for visa! (wink) NOR child support! (wink!) BUT for love! #herefortherightreasons.

A few other ongoing things that seem invisible but take time:
I go to doctors/different types of baby related appointments about 2x per week and I’m HEALTHY HEALTHY. Time commitment cray.
I’m in a DEMANDING acting class.
Gym to lift 3-4x per week + daily 30min cardio + prenatal stretches and pelvic work 3x day.
Creating a pregnancy journal which, knowing how I am, it’s literally THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE JOURNAL for my child (but when they are an adult because it’s PG-18).
I’m apartment hunting which is like… time time
I keep my TikTok casually active yo. Those recordings and editings?
I’m working on a Cherry V music album for 2026 WHAT THE WHAT? That’s right. Expect the unexpected.
I’m filming some more scenes on my film Cherryland but in JULY (OH YOU THOUGHT I HAD STOPPED WORKING ON IT??? No, It’s just gonna take time, like my version of that movie BOYHOOD).
